Embrace Imperfection
Welcome to our world of craftsmanship and creativity, where broken ceramic pieces are transformed into something even more beautiful through the art of Modern Kintsugi. Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi—embracing imperfection and finding beauty in the incomplete—our workshops offer a unique and meaningful experience.

Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese craft of repairing broken ceramics with gold, turning cracks into stunning, unique patterns. It celebrates imperfection, resilience, and the beauty of flaws as part of an object's story. At Sussex Kintsugi, we honor this philosophy using modern, accessible materials, making the practice more approachable for everyone.

Through our pop-up workshops, we bring this beautiful craft to life. Whether you’re new to Kintsugi or looking to try something creative, our sessions offer a welcoming space to slow down, connect, and create.

Join us to embrace the broken and create something extraordinary.
Rediscover the beauty in imperfection with Kintsugi.
Kintsugi Workshops
Our Modern Kintsugi workshops offer a creative and calming introduction to this traditional Japanese craft, held at welcoming venues across Sussex and Surrey.
During the session, you’ll explore the philosophy behind Kintsugi, learn hands-on techniques, and repair a ceramic object (provided by us) using modern materials. Each workshop is a relaxed and inspiring space to celebrate the beauty of imperfections.
We supply all materials and protective equipment, so you can simply relax and enjoy the process.
By the end, you’ll leave with your own beautifully restored ceramic piece—a unique reflection of transformation and renewal.
