Claire Waterhouse is an established potter based in Loxwood, West Sussex. With a background in art and a career dedicated to teaching ceramics, she creates finely thrown, tactile pottery with a precise eye for detail and a deep appreciation for form and function. Her elegant, wheel-thrown pieces are made to be used and loved in everyday life — grounded in tradition, yet full of warmth and personality. Claire teaches from her unique & characterful studio and leads workshops across the South East, fostering creativity and community through clay. In this collaboration, her carefully crafted bowls become the starting point for a unique creative and healing process: one that embraces controlled breakage and Modern Kintsugi as a way of transforming form, telling stories; celebrating imperfection, untying wounds, letting go, embracing challenges and celebrating the journey towards transformation.
